This is a little utility that displays the Pocket PC's battery strength as a bar on the Today screen.

A fully charged battery is shown as a green line stretching across the screen.  As the charge drops, the line gets shorter and gradually turns red.

When the PocketPC is charging or the strength is unknown, the line appears blue.

Installation:

  1. Run the install program to install the BatMon onto your PocketPC.
  2. Go to the Today screen settings and tick the BatMon box.

BatMon can be disabled by unticking the BatMon box in the Today screen settings.

Uninstall:

BatMon hooks into the Today screen and, so, is permanently loaded - even when it is not selected.  This stops the uninstaller from working correctly.  To uninstall, follow these steps:

  1. Rename the file BatMon.dll to BatMon.dlx.  The file can be found in the windows folder.
  2. Perform a soft reset of your Pocket PC.
  3. You can now delete BatMon.dlx

Windows CE 3.0 only - this program does not work with PocketPC 2002 or above
